August 2017 - Welcome to our new home!
The En Pointe School of Dancing were made to feel so welcome at the Henley Community Centre whilst rehearsing and performing their May 2017 Show that the decision was made to co-locate the Witnesham and Great Blakenham branches together at Henley in July 2017. Reaction to the news has been very positive, and as the Principal and founder of the school Kelly feels that it is lovely to be able to have one true home for the dancing school. Classes will re-commence at our new home during week commencing 4th September 2017 and we very much look forward to welcoming everyone at our new home.

August 2017 - Reflections on our Show
So just looking back and reflecting on a fabulous and very successful show (The Princess & The Frog) which we performed at Henley Community Centre in May 2017. Not only were Kelly and Mrs Leggett extremely proud of all of our dancers who participated, we also raised £500 for the charity EACH (East Anglian Children's Hospices). Check our Facebook page for some of the lovely feedback and comments that we received.

April 2017 Newsletter - Dress Rehearsals & Ballet Socks
Firstly thank you for your on-going support during this busy rehearsal period.

Please can I ask that everyone arrives at the dress rehearsals at 4pm sharp to enable us to start the full run through, complete with costumes, quick-changes, sound and lighting on time. It is imperative that we hold these full rehearsals as they provide us with a true reflection of the show and allow us to iron out any potential issues prior to the show nights, they also give our pupils an opportunity to familiarise themselves with timings and the running order.

Finally please can I remind you that all pupils are required to wear pink ballet socks as part of their costume, these are available from me (at £3 per pair) if you have not already got a pair. Please ensure that you have your socks in time for the dress rehearsals. The only classes who are not wearing socks are the Princesses and the Woodland Spirits as they are wearing tights.

If there are any queries or problems please see myself or Mrs Leggett. Roll on the show!

A lovely article in the In Touch magazine
Following our 2015 show - Snow White & Rose red we were delighted to be featured in the In Touch magazine which read as follows:

Local dancing school raises money for Charity EACH

In May 2015 the en Pointe School of Dancing produced a ballet show at Otley Village Hall. The show, Snow White & Rose Red was performed by a cast of 27 girls aged 3 and a half to 20 years old.

The girls have been working hard in their ballet lessons to learn dance routines and mime work in order to perform to family and friends over a two nights production.

All their hard work payed off as the school was able to rasie £405.00 for the local EACH Treehouse Centre in Ipswich.

Snow White, Rose Red, Mother and Dwarf presented the cheque on behalf of the school to Gemma Smith, fundraiser co-ordinator for EACH.

The dancing school was founded in 2011 and holds ballet classes at Witnesham Village Hall on Monday afternoons and evenings and Great Blakenham Village Hall on a Tuesday afternoon to children from 3 years to adults.

For more information about the school and classes, please contact the principal Kelly Fear on 07799 130967.
